Time and place

This year we have been granted funding from the NKS for the seventh event in these series of seminars and workshops. The upcoming GammaSpec 2016 workshop will take place on 13-14 September 2016 at the Rømskog Spa & Resort ca. 90 km from Oslo. See directions from Oslo here. Please follow this link for the first announcement.

The seminar closes at 15:00 on Wednesday 14th, and bus transport will be arranged with departure as soon as possible after 15:00. Travel time to Gardermoen is 90 - 100 minutes, so arrival will be before 17:00.

Seminar cost

There are no costs for the seminar itself, however accommodation for two nights and dinner on the arrival day must be covered by the participants themselves. This sums up to NOK 3000,- per participant (in single room). This sum must be paid to the hotel at departure. Transport to and from the airport, lunches, conference dinner and coffee and snacks in seminar breaks are covered by the seminar.

Transportation

Transport arrangements will be made, from Gardermoen and/or Lillestrøm to Rømskog on monday the 12th of september.

  • Pick-up at Gardermoen 16:00
  • Bus to Lillestrøm train station (to pick up early arrivers who have spent the day in Oslo or Lillestrøm (train from Oslo to Lillestrøm takes 11 minutes (direct train, a “snail train” that uses longer time also exist, be sure you choose the right one! )))

Specter data files Ortec CHN-file format (NKS2016.zip). Inside the Zip file:

Spectrum from an unknown sample. Spectrum from the calibration. Background spectrum.

Calibration certificate (text file) and detector data (jpg file).
